2010 HillClimb

July 3rd and 4th

At a Directors Meeting held on Mon 28th of June it was decided to cancel the clubs two day Dungarvan Hillclimb event on 3rd and 4th of July. It is with deep regret to the CoC that this decision had to be made which was due to the lack of entries so close to the event. The CoC would like to appologise to the few who have entered and would also like to thank Paul O'Connell from the Hillclimb committee for all his help and Denis Hogan from Irishhillimb.com. She would also like to thank Seanie Duggan and all her team who have help out in all the preparations for next weekend. Running an event like this required work to start 6 months in advance orgainising road closures sponsors and safety etc, so she would like to thank all who have helped out is some way and hopefully this will not be the end of the clubs annual two day event for the future.

The regulations and entry form are available here

On July 3rd and 4th 2010, the Tipperary Motorclub will run their now famous Hillclimb weekend. The hillclimb weekend will count as rounds 7 & 8 of the Connaught Competition Engines National Hillclimb & Sprint Championship 2010. The event will be held on the old cork road out of Dungarvan, known locally as the sweep.

Clerk of the course Christine O'Leary has been working for the last few months putting together and tying up all the loose ends to ensure a successful weekend on the hill.

The entry fee for a single day is €150 and €250 for both days. Entry Fee includes Personal Accident Insurance.

The event is open to Formula Libre, Formula Vee racing cars and also all forms of Rally cars so an exciting display of cars will be on show.

Christine will require up to 40 marshals on both days to ensure a safe and sucessful running of the event so anyone interested in helping out please contact Christine O'Leary or any member of the Tipperary motor club .
